Southwest Washington Child Care Partnership
Southwest Washington Child Care Partnership
To respond to the growing child care crisis in our region, the Southwest Washington Child Care Partnership (SWCCP) was established, with Support for Early Learning & Families serving as the lead agency. SWCCP is a community-led, neighborhood-based initiative that recruits and trains future child care providers, supporting them through the licensing process and helping them build sustainable child care businesses.
Through this program, more than 54 families now have access to high-quality, bicultural, and bilingual child care. In partnership with local community organizations, we have supported and empowered new child care business owners while expanding access to care for working families—strengthening both our community’s social fabric and economic vitality. This year represents a meaningful step forward in our commitment to holistic community development and ensuring every child receives nurturing care in a culturally enriching environment.
Currently, 15 child care businesses are actively participating in the program.
